Hi! My name is Elisa Armstrong. I'm 29 years old. We are a Catholic, homeschooling, military family.
I started this blog because I love sharing things that I love. When I find out about something I like, I will tell everybody about it. I also wanted a place where I could show my mom and my other family members who live far away, what we are doing as a family. I blog to remember all the little things in life, that I will one day probably forget. (Let's hope my blog is around for that long.) I try to keep it positive.
I was born and raised in Switzerland. You can see where I grew up here.
I grew up protestant & converted to Roman Catholicism when I was 18.
I married the man of my dreams one month before I turned 22.
I'm married to a soldier. He's my best friend and the love of my life.
We cloth diaper our babies and educate our children at home.
I learned the basics of sewing, knitting, crochet in grade school in Switzerland and from my mother. The rest I learn as I go.
I tend to "wing" things. I think this is the best way to learn when it comes to sewing and knitting. If I insist on having it perfect the first time, I'll never even begin.
I like baking fresh bread. I like growing my own food (which doesn't mean I always have something to show for at harvest time).
My Swiss grandmother and grandfather were dairy farmers. I have always wanted my own Swiss dairy cow in the backyard. Chickens would be fun too.
